The Heritage Gallery of the Virginia Baptist Historical Society is available for children’s tours conducted by the VBHS staff by appointment. The programs include a guided walk through the exhibits including narration of the 36-panel Virginia Baptist History Mural.

Information is relayed using storytelling methods and appropriate, age-related activities can enhance the experience. Children will be able to see historic artifacts, hear from historic documents, and interact with exhibit personnel. The programs are ideal for Vacation Bible School groups, missions groups and many others. The programs emphasize the Baptist contribution to religious liberty and to missions. Changing exhibits afford the opportunity for return visits by groups.

Most tours require 45-60 minutes and groups are usually limited to no more than 15 persons.
